FACILITIES
Games Room
If you feel like letting go of some energy, then the games room has a full-size table tennis table and a pool table to entertain you.
It boasts a large book exchange of great books and magazines. There is also a selection of children’s toys for the young ones to enjoy.
Events/ TV Room
Sitting in the middle of the camp facilities is the events room, capable of holding 70–80 people.
It has a large smart TV, loads of comfy couches and a newly installed fire place. There are also tables and chairs, for mini events or just in case you need to escape the weather!
Absolutely ideal for camp functions, private functions and serious entertainment, all under cover. Over the busy periods we have our ‘Kids’ Club’ arts and crafts in here, and it is the venue for our New Year’s Eve party.
Please note there is a small fee to hire the room for private functions.
Play Area
We have just built a new playground to keep the little ones busy.
There is a playground specifically for 6 and under with a slide, swing and monkey bar, a large sandpit with something a bit different, for the kids to enjoy some water play, a large spring-free trampoline and a small trampoline dug into the ground.
We also hold ‘Kids’ Club’ and other activities for kids over the busy holiday periods.
Communal Kitchen
The communal kitchen has two large fridge/freezers, toaster, sandwich-maker, microwaves and two ovens.
The kitchen has filtered water and is kept in a beautiful clean condition at all times.
All you need to bring are your pots, pans and utensils and you can be the perfect camp chef.
Laundry
The laundry has two commercial washer/dryer machines and ironing facilities.
You will need $1 and $2 coins to do the washing and drying, and the detergent is available free of charge.
It is $4 for a cold wash and $2 for every 20 minutes in the dryer.
There are three washing lines outside for when the sun is shining.
Communal Bathroom
In addition to the impeccably clean mens and ladies facilities available, there is also an accessible bathroom which has a toilet, shower and hand basin. This can also be used by families if requested.
There is a larger separate shower which is also great for families, and the ladies bathroom also has a baby bath built into the bench.
Our main block is open year round. Summer block facilities are open from mid December until early February and when there are large numbers in camp.
BBQ Area
There are three dedicated BBQ areas set up in the camp. The BBQ along with the gas etc are supplied on request – perfect for a family get-together.
You just need to bring your food, tools, and a fun attitude!
Dump Station
The ‘Dump Station’ is easily accessible for campervans, motorhomes, RV’s and campers in general, with good hygienic wash facilities.
All grey and black water is dumped here.
Hot Tub
We have a portable hot tub available for hire, at your camp site or outside your cabin. For something a little different why not give it a go.
Please allow a maximum of two hours to set up, fill and heat.
Price: $50 per night- you provide your own gas bottle*
$75 per night- we provide the gas bottle

Pet Friendly Camping
We have had a variety of pets stay with us at Himatangi Beach Holiday Park, including cats, dogs, birds and guinea pigs. There is also a park cat named Milly; she loves to be patted but isn’t very keen on being held! And Wilbur the camp dog- who is a miniature Schnauzer.
Generally it is dogs that come to stay, so we have a specific dog policy. As you are all aware, not everyone likes dogs, and in fact even the smallest of dogs can cause distress to some people – so we do require that our policy is followed if you wish to bring your dog into the park.
Holiday Park Dog Policy
All dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
- Dogs must be exercised and toileted outside of the park with a doggy doo bag.
- There should be no dogs around the communal facilities.
- Dogs should be on their site or walked from their site to outside of the park, not around the park.
- If your dog barks excessively, displays aggressive behaviour or annoys anyone then we may ask you to remove the dog from the park immediately.
Please note, there is to be no dogs in or around our fixed accommodation. Our cabins are all in the no dog area.
If a pet (or any sign of a pet) is found near or in the cabin there will be a $200 fee incured.
